From Trainees to Educators
The idea for StudyFRCEM was born out of frustration on the shop floor. As trainees balancing exhausting night shifts with intense exam preparation, we struggled to find high-quality, up-to-date, and realistic Single Best Answer (SBA) questions that truly reflected the evolving RCEM curriculum. Most of our limited study time was spent cross-referencing conflicting guidelines rather than actually learning.
Existing resources were either outdated, prohibitively expensive, or lacked the detailed, step-by-step explanations needed for deep clinical understanding. We decided to change that. By pooling our collective experience across multiple NHS trusts, we set out to build the exact resource we wished we had during our own gruelling exam preparations — a platform built by emergency medicine doctors, for emergency medicine doctors.
